Former 'Friends' actor Matt LeBlanc was slammed on social media following his comment about 'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke at the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards last.
It all started with Matt and Emilia gushing about being fans of each other.
However, the 49-year-old actor went a little too far while chatting about the 29-year-old actress, reports E!Online.
When asked whether he was a fan of HBO series 'Game of Thrones' in which Emilia plays Daenerys Targaryen, Matt said, "Yeah, I saw the first season, and I kind of fell out of touch with it. I guess that's when she started getting naked, so I need to catch up."
Though the attendees giggled at the spontaneous answer, Emilia was spotted a bit embarrassed.
While the actress managed to keep her cool while standing with Giuliana Rancic, her fans couldn't resist the joke and blasted Matt on Twitter.
One wrote: "#Emmys disrespectful with the whole Matt Leblanc thing like why? you Emilia Clarke way to hold such grace&smiles. E News that was a fail."
"Matt LeBlanc telling Emilia Clark he should start watching second season of GOT cause she starts getting naked is too much. Creep," another one tweeted.
One enraged viewer went far, writing: "Matt LeBlanc said he needs to catch up on Game of Thrones cause that's where Emilia Clarke gets naked... someone punch him in the throat pls."
However, the actress looking incredibly classy in a backless pink floor-length gown and managed to laugh off Matt's 'how you doin'' moment.
Earlier, she also shared a snap of her with matt on Instagram and wrote, "How YOU doin??! Downright GIDDY now!! Bucket list accomplishment already underway with this gem (both in Joey and Matt form).
