Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is reportedly readying himself to face plenty of verbal sledging in the forthcoming limited overs internationals against England.
According to Sport24, following England's 3-0 Ashes series win completed with Sunday's drawn fifth Test at The Oval, the archrivals face each other in shorter formats, starting with the first of two Twenty20 fixtures in Southampton on Thursday.
Although Maxwell does not anticipate any lingering feuds despite the heated altercation between Australian captain Michael Clarke and England's Kevin Pietersen, along with Australian coach Darren Lehmann calling Stuart Broad a 'cheat', he however, said that he is preparing himself to face a new set of banter in the T20s.
According to Maxwell, he is expecting the upcoming banter to be good fun, adding that it is a part of the game and will be enjoyed by the crowds if both teams play in the right spirit.
Meanwhile, Maxwell, nicknamed the 'Million Dollar Man' after he was sold for one million dollars at last season's Indian Premier League, knows the Rose Bowl pitch well having played there last year for southern county Hampshire for which he anticipates plenty of runs on Thursday.
