The coveted tickets for the much awaited mega bout between unbeaten US boxing champion Floyd Mayweather and Filipino boxer-turned-politician Manny Pacquiao have been sold out in a matter of seconds and are immediately put up on resale sites for as much as 141,000 dollars.

Pacquiao and Mayweather would face each other in the super-fight in Las Vegas on May 2 in the MGM Grand, which holds 16,500 but only 1,000 tickets were made available to the wider public.

While the cheapest tickets were priced at 1,500 dollars, they soared to as much as 7,500 dollars for the much-anticipated 'fight of the century' bout.

The remaining 15,500 seats, meanwhile, will be in the hands of fighters, sponsors and promoters.

Subsequently, ticket reselling websites such as StubHub priced cheapest tickets at 5,270 dollars, setting a platform to generate a lucrative amount, the BBC reported.

Considered as the two of the best fighters of their generation, the fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao is expected to generate 250 million dollars.
