A Hollywood cameraman has insisted that he was the one who invented selfies.

Lester Wisbrod asserted that he used to pull out his Canon camera whenever he found himself near a celebrity and asks the celeb to smile and then reach out his arm to take the picture.

Wisbrod told ABC News that to do a selfie at the time, if one was not close enough together then the focus would miss them and that's what happened and . it didn't work but he had since improved his skills, as had everyone else in the world.

Wisbrod recently posted a video on Youtube containing slideshow of his selfies with various celebrities.
