Meet the man who got jailed post 21,807 calls, texts to ex-girlfriend

A France-based man has been sentenced to 10 months in prison for calling and texting his ex-girlfriend 21,807 times.

The 33-year-old unnamed defendant, who began to harass the 32-year-old victim after she called off their relationship, wanted her to thank him for doing chores around their apartment, Mashable reported.

The man said that it was "stupid" of him to keep calling his ex more than 70 times a day as long as she wasn't returning his money, paying him for his work or at least thanking him.

The defendant, who kept making the calls until his lover finally thanked him for the housework in a meeting organized by a mediator, was charged with 13,000 dollars fine and would undergo psychiatric treatment.
