Mehbooba flays protestors, says their number is small

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said there are more youth who are working for the development of the state in comparison to those who are out on the streets.

She was referring to Kashmiri protestors who have been creating trouble on the streets by pelting stones at the security forces and to those who have been instigating them.

Mehbooba made these comments at a youth exchange programme of Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) here in which youths from Jammu, Srinagar and Leh participated.

Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing violence, unrest on the Kashmir Valley streets. Some youths and students have been clashing with the security forces and hitting them with the stones.

Many people have died in the retaliatory action by the security forces. There are reports that these miscreants also pelt stones at the security forces during anti-terror operations in order to help terrorists to escape.

Mufti told the budding entrepreneurs that "you are our golden hands".

The chief minister also exhorted the students to become entrepreneurs as "earning for oneself and providing jobs to others is a noble in Islam and as well as in other religions also".

She promised to solve all the problems and issues of the JKEDI students.

While praising the hard work of JKEDI students, Mehbooba termed them as the real sculptors of the state.

She equated the politicians like her who run the government as players of 'musical chair' game.

"People like us are players of the musical chair game wherein the person sitting on the chair keeps on changing," said Mufti.
