Mel C has revealed that she is taking diet inspiration from former 'Spice Girl' bandmate Victoria Beckham.
The 39-year-old, who openly admitted to having an eating disorder when she was part of the band, has now found a healthy way to manage her diet, the Mirror reported.
The singer told Closer magazine that Beckham is on the alkaline diet- which includes loads of fruit vegetables and grains- and she swears by it for healthy eating and weight loss.
Mel, whose original name is Melanie Chisholm, said that she needs to eat lots at the moment because of her training regime and she is amazed by the difference alkalising makes.
She said that she is careful not to overdo it because she had a breakdown when she was in the band from working too hard, and she doesn't want that to happen again.
Beckham eats mostly alkaline foods in a bid to keep her body pH level between 7.35 and 7.45, which is believed to induce weight loss and heal a variety of ailments.
