Barcelona striker Lionel Messi has become the club's all-time leading scorer after scoring a hat-trick in their 7-0 victory over Club Atletico Osasuna.
Messi overtook the record set by Paulino Alcantara, a former Barcelona striker who scored 369 goals in 357 appearances between 1912-1927, by taking his goal tally to 371 with his recent hat trick.
According to CNN, Messi scored his 25th hat trick for Barcelona taking his side to third position in La Liga standings, four points adrift of leaders Real Madrid.
This is reportedly the striker's sixth consecutive season in which he has scored 30 goals despite earlier being accused of not reaching the exorbitant levels, which he has set in past years.
Meanwhile, Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has said that he thinks they can beat Real Madrid in Bernabeu and that would put the club right in the fight for La Liga, the report added.
