MGM to make new live-action/animation 'Pink Panther' movie

MGM will be making a new 'Pink Panther' movie, a live-action/animated fusion, which will have the essence of the original cartoons by Friz Freleng and David De Patie, along with Blake Edwards' films.

According to Deadline.com, MGM's president Jonathan Glickman said that they were proud to re-introduce 'Pink Panther' to a brand new generation in such a fresh way.

The film, which will be helmed by 'Monsters Inc' director David Silverman, will be produced by Walter Mirisch, executive producer of the original movies and TV series, along with Julie Andrews.
