Microsoft's co-founder Paul Allen will be producing Oscar-winning director Louie Psihoyos's documentary 'Racing Extinction', it has been revealed.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 61-year-old innovator's Vulcan Productions has signed on as a partner of the Oceanic Preservation Society's documentary, which revolves around undercover activists trying to stave off a man-made mass extinction.
The film is "almost locked," says will premiere across theatrical, broadcast and digital platforms in 2015.
Carole Tomko, Vulcan creative director and general manager said that 'Racing Extinction' is a documentary thriller, unlike anything one has ever seen before that tells a fast-paced story of our mass extinction and its drivers.
Tomko added that the campaign picks up where the film leaves off, giving audiences the tools they need to make change in their backyard and building a movement of inspired, activated fans united to make a difference.
