Microsoft is planning to unveil the detailed consumer feature preview of Windows 10 at a press event in late January next year.
According to the Verge, Microsoft will discuss a large number of features including its new touch interface dubbed Continuum.
The company will also detail its plans for Windows phones and tablets and probably dashboard updates for its Xbox One gaming console.
Microsoft earlier unveiled Windows 10 in a small low-key event in San Francisco but the consumer feature unveiling is believed to be more significant.
Windows 10 is designed to operate across multiple devices including tablets, PCs and Xbox One.
