Mike Tyson, who recently made an account on the Twitter-like Sina Weibo service, is apparently facing difficulty in understanding the nation's sarcastic sense of humour.

When the boxing icon asked his followers - who is the best fighter in the country, the popular response on the site was "chengguan," the nation's widely loathed urban enforcers, who have a reputation for brutality, the Daily Times reported.

The former world heavyweight champion then replied saying that he was clueless as to who "chengguan" was.

Tyson's post quickly became a hot topic on the site and many commented on the post.

Referring to the infamous 1997 incident where Tyson tore off a top of rival Evander Holyfield's ear during a fight, one user said that "chengguan" will be the ones biting his ear this time.

Another sarcastic comment said that Tyson fights others in the ring legally in the US, but "chengguan" fight others in the street legally in China.
