Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis produced a resilient performance as they beat Hao-Ching Chan and Flavia Pennetta in their doubles event to reach the semi-finals of the Aegon International in Eastbourne.
The Indo-Swiss duo recovered from a set down to overcome the unseeded duo of Taipei's Chan and Pennetta of Italy 4-6, 6-3, 10-6 in an enthralling contest that lasted one hour and 13 minutes.
Sania and Hingis will next face Caroline Garcia and Katarina Srebotnik to book a place in the final.
The top seeded pair had previously won three back-to-back titles in Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston before hitting their first bump in the road at the start of the clay court season.
