Economical feature phone brand, Detel, on Thursday announced the appointment of Pankaj Chopra as its chief sales officer.
An industry veteran, Pankaj Chopra brings more than 24 years of experience and a proven track record of successful sales and marketing across the telecom and consumer durable industry.
Chopra will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and driving growth for the brand through innovative strategies to boost the sales across India.
"We look forward to welcoming Pankaj Chopra to the Detel team at such an important and dynamic time in our company's history. He is a proven and accomplished leader, who will play an instrumental role in providing sales and marketing vision, strategy and leadership as we expand and strengthen our position in the market," said Yogesh Bhatia, MD, S.G. Corporate Mobility (Parent company of Detel).
Chopra has been a key contributor in driving sales growth through his effective business development, sales operations, key account and relationship management skills.
His experience also includes various leadership roles for international brands like Whirlpool, and Electrolux in consumer durables domain.
Chopra has been associated with brands like HCL (Nokia), Redington (Apple), Skullcandy, and Xiaomi in the mobile handset industry.
