Former union minister M.Veerappa Moily opened his law firm in national capital New Delhi on Monday evening.
The firm will go by the name of Moily Law Associates and is located near Safdarjung Hospital.
Eminent lawyers and people from other walks of life attended the opening of the law office.
Moily, 74,is an Indian politician from the state of Karnataka. He is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha and represents the Chikballapur constituency.
He was the former Minister of Law and Justice, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Minister of Corporate Affairs and Minister of Power in the central government.
Moily has also been a former chief minister of Karnataka (from November 19, 1992 to December 11,1994). He was elected to Karnataka state legislative assembly from Karkala constituency of Udupi District.
He is currently serving as the All India Congress Committee General Secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh. He is regarded as one of the senior members of the Congress Party, and a close adviser of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
