The Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly is set to begin today.
Out of the total eight working days in the session, the government plans to move 12 bills including three ordinance replacing bills.
The session is all set to be stormy with both the opposition Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) deciding to corner the government on a host of issues, including civilians killing by police in Kandhamal and failure of the tripartite meeting on the Mahanadi issue.
Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik has said that his party would counter the opposition attack by prominently raising issues like Mahanadi, Polavaram and central fund cut under different schemes.
