In an attempt to make Madhya Pradesh (MP) Police smarter, the state government is going to launch a '100 Dial' scheme on August 15.
"The 100 Dial scheme is about making the police smarter. The police will reach the spot in five minutes wherever the incident takes place in cities and within 30 minutes in villages. We are starting this scheme dial 100 because if something happens like riots, accident etc so, this will be as an emergency number," State Home Minister Babu Lal Gaur told ANI.
"We will provide separate vehicles and workers for this scheme in which these will be dedicated to such incidents only. They will be prepared for these situations. We have brought 900 Tata vehicles to serve this purpose. The total cost of this scheme would be Rs. 600 crore that would be paid as rent for these vehicles," he added.
