Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the prime suspect and alleged mastermind of the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008, has reportedly filed another petition with the Lahore High Court (LHC) contesting the detention order against him.

While saying that the Home Secretary should be advised to handle his case, Lakhvi argued that keeping him in custody was illegal and amounted to contempt of the ruling issued by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) earlier, reported the Dawn.

The LHC has forwarded the request for a hearing to the Chief Justice LHC.

The high court had earlier rejected Lakhvi's previous petition challenging the detention order against him on Friday.
