Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray has said that his new coach would be shortlisted from a list of 'seven or eight' potential candidates.
Murray, whose mother Judy is herself a tennis coach, reportedly wants to appoint a successor to his former coach Ivan Lendl prior to starting his Wimbledon title defence.
According to the BBC, Murray, who prepares for the French Open later the next month, said that in a perfect world he would have someone in place ahead of the tournament, but it is hard because there are a lot of things that go into appointing a new coach with contracts and finances, etc.
Murray, who plays at the Madrid Masters next on 5 May ahead of the French Open, said that he has got quite a few names down over the last couple of weeks that he would be considering to be his next coach.
Murray said that appointing a new coach is about speaking to a few people in order to find the 'right fit'.
The Scot has yet not decided whether he would choose a renowned coach or appoint a former top professional to be his next mentor, the report added.
