A German documentary has claimed that the mysterious 1947 flying saucer sighted over New Mexico was a top secret "Nazi rocket."
The feature, entitled 'UFOs and the Third Reich,' reveals that the infamous "incident" was the secret tests on the "Bell," which was a futuristic three-metre aircraft that used electric particles to fly, the Mirror reported.
German aeronautical engineer Georg Klein, who doesn't consider himself as a crackpot or eccentric or someone given to fantasies, said that he saw "a Nazi UFO" with his own eyes.
The documentary also claimed that the Nazi machine, which was the predecessor to today's stealth fighter, was created by dozens of rocket experts, who switched allegiance to the US after the end of World War Two.
Polish military historian Igor Witkowski had written that the Nazi leader Adolph Hitler was keen to develop the aircraft during World War Two and so the bomber crews from the US and Britain reported seeing strange machines, which are now believed to have been the Bell.
