French Open Champion Rafael Nadal has said that he might never get to face Roger Federer at the US Open, after the Swiss superstar lost to Tommy Robredo in a shock upset in the fourth round.
According to Sport24, it doomed hopes for a potential quarterfinal match with 12-time major winner Nadal in what would have been the first meeting of the pair's 31-match rivalry at Flushing Meadows.
Nadal said that it was going to be great if the two could play in a final because he had felt that their rivalry for so many areas had been really nice.
The two men have played four finals at the French Open, three at Wimbledon and one at the Australian Open, the report said.
