Naomie Harris has revealed that her favourite James Bond has got to be "amazing" Daniel Craig.
The 38-year-old actress added that to come in and to reinvent the whole way that people see Bond, to add a modern twist, and to make them fall in love with the character in a different way is a huge achievement and so, this "ultimate Bond" deserves credit for that, the Independent reported.
The 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom' star, who is best known for playing Moneypenny in the most recent Bond film 'Skyfall,' explained that she didn't start the rumour that Idris Elba was next in line to play 007.
Harris said that a journalist said to her "You've just finished working with Idris Elba on Mandela, do you think he'd make a great Bond?" and she said "Yeah, absolutely, I think he would," and then the headline was "Naomie says Idris Elba to be next Bond."
When asked what she thinks about all the fuss over having a black Bond, Harris noted that she hopes people get to the point where they're not saying, "are we going to have a black Bond?" which is not the point.
She continued that the point is to have somebody who fills the shoes of Bond in the way they should be filled as he is this iconic character and whoever fits, whatever colour they are, it doesn't matter, adding that it's about their characteristics, their charisma, their humour and their physicality as well to be able to perform all those stunts.
