Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shifted to 7 Race Course Road (RCR), his official residence.
Modi had been staying at Gujarat Bhawan here, as the official residence of the prime minister was being refurbished.
The official residence was vacated by previous occupant and Modi's predecessor Dr Manmohan Singh on Monday evening soon after Modi was sworn in.
NDTV quoted sources, as saying that Modi will use 5, Race Course Road as his residence, unlike Dr. Singh who used to live in 3, Race Course Road. Singh used 5, Race Course Road as his office. 5 RCR was also the residence of former BJP leader and Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
The Prime Minister's official residence is spread over five bungalows - 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, Race Course Road.
