Nepal Workers and Peasants Party Chairman Narayan Man Bijukchhe on Wednesday said that Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli-led government was being toppled to meet interests of India.
Speaking to media in Bhaktapur today, Bijukchhe said Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal were interested to topple the CPN-UML Chairman Oli after India directed them for the same, reports the Himalayan Times.
He argued that New Delhi wants to topple incumbent government before Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit here, which was likely to be a significant achievement for Nepal.
The veteran Communist leader also warned that if the new government would not move ahead toward implementing various agreements signed with Beijing, the result could be disastrous for Nepal.
Bijukchhe accused Speaker Onsari Gharti of supporting the Maoist bid to topple the government and said the former could not maintain neutrality and dignity of her position.
He was of the view that the new government would add more problems to implementation of the new Constitution and solution to the Madhesi problems.
