Australia's new Test skipper Steve Smith has said that he may drop himself to number four in the batting order to get the best out of the team.
The 26-year-old admitted that he is looking forward to change the batting order, adding that the aim is to get best out of the team.
Smith also said that as a captain he has a big role in picking a team and deciding what will be beneficial for the squad,news.co.au reported.
Smith has been named as the captain of a refreshed Australia one-day side for the upcoming limited overs series against England and Ireland.
Australia will be without the services of veterans Brad Haddin and Michael Clarke, who have announced their retirement from the format after guiding the team to their fifth World Cup in March.
Australia will play the lone ODI against Ireland in Belfast on August 27 and a T20 match against England on August 31 in Cardiff before taking on the hosts in a five-match ODI series beginning from September 3 .
