The Centre has said that government employees who have children suffering from autism will be exempted from routine transfers.
The employees will also not be asked to take voluntary retirement on refusing such postings.
According to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) autistic children will be included in the category for disabled children.
Autism is a developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people.
