IPL fixing: Rajeev Shukla appeals to wait till Nov. 24

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice president Rajeev Shukla said here on Monday that we should wait for the Supreme Court's order that will be out on November 24, after Justice Mudgal Committee report gave a clean chit to him.

"There has never been any allegation on Srinivasan. Let's wait for Supreme Court's observation on 24th of November," said Shukla.

The Justice Mudgal Committee report on Monday gave a clean chit to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president N. Srinivasan, although Chennai Super Kings team principal Gurunath Meiyappan was found involved in illegal betting.

Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra was also found to be in touch with the bookies and was placing bets on matches, the panel reportedly told the Supreme Court.

Reports also indicated that Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was involved in illegal betting, although he had no links with match fixing.

The Supreme Court had earlier on Friday disclosed the names of a few personalities, who were probed by the Justice Mudgal Committee for alleged links to the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing scam.

The names disclosed by the apex court included that of Srinivasan, Kundra, Meiyappan and BCCI chief operating officer Sunder Raman.

The court had directed the findings of the Mudgal report on non-cricketers to be disclosed.

Earlier on March 25, the court had told Srinivasan to step down from

his position as BCCI president in order to ensure a fair investigation

into the betting and spot-fixing charges levied against Meiyappan, the

team principal of Chennai Super Kings.
