Normalcy returning in Saharnpur, says District Magistrate

Saharanpur's District Magistrate (DM) Sandhya Tiwari today assured that normalcy is returning in the city.

Tiwari said that the situation started becoming stable since yesterday noon itself and today till now no violence has been reported.

"According to the counting and survey so far, till now total 33 are injured, three dead, 22 shops and 15 four wheelers burnt and 38 arrested," said Tiwari while addressing a press conference.

"Due to the curfew, milk was distributed at around 25 to 26 places today. Last night made 250 to 300 people were safely dropped from the railway station to their respective destinations and till today morning around 700 to 800 people were dropped along with five light and heavy vehicles including two buses and three light vehicles," she added.

he also told the media that there are proper arrangements of the medical facilities as hospital ambulances are continuously moving on roads and 108 ambulances have admitted 8 patients in the district hospitals She also informed that the schools will remain closed for three days till July 30 and further decision on the lifting of curfew will be taken only after meeting with the officials.
