Noted Hindi writer and playwright Mahendra Bhalla passed away on Thursday morning at his residence in the national capital.
Bahlla, 82, had been battling cancer.
Apart from writing some memorable plays, including 'Dimaag-e-hasti, Dil Ki Basti Hai Kahan, Hai Kahan', the writer was conferred with Hindi Akademi Award, among several other honours.
