Post demonetisation, several stories related to it have come to light, varying from colleges organising fashion show to support this currency ban, to villages going cashless.
In a similar development, a cloth trader in the city has has got a new design of saree made, with the print of the newly introduced pink-coloured Rs. 2000 note.
The women can now clad themselves in the new currency note via the medium of this saree.
Being six metre in length, each saree has print of 504 notes and costs Rs. 160.
The trader Shiv Shaini came up with this concept of saree as he wanted to try something new.
"Rs. 2000 note is new in India. Few days back saree with Modi ji's face also came. So, we thought of coming up with this saree. The reason was to try something new."
Saini also informed that the demand for the saree is more in the five poll-bound states namely, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Punjab, Goa and Uttarakhand.
Demonetisation, whether accepted or not, but the people of India have fully utilised this announcement for their business and benefit.
