American filmmaker Oliver Stone has reportedly referred to President Barack Obama as a 'snake' in a video for authorising legality to National Security Agency (NSA) spy programmes.
The Washington Times reported that a video was released in Japan on the Vietnam veteran Oliver Stone calling Obama a snake over NSA spy programs running in the country intervening the privacy of U.S. citizens.
Stone also praised NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden and called him a personal hero for sacrificing his well-being for the good of others, the report added.
He further added that Russian President Vladimir Putin had done the right thing by extending asylum to Snowden.
He said that it was essential that more and more countries stood up against the U.S.
