White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman is planning to leave the White House next month.
"Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities. Her departure will not be effective until January 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service," reported CNN, citing press secretary Sarah Sanders as saying in a statement.
Manigault Newman, who is often called only by her first name, appeared on the first season of Trump's NBC show 'The Apprentice' and has served as the director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison.
President Trump thanked White House aide Omarosa for her service hours after the administration said she provided her resignation.
"Thank you Omarosa for your service! I wish you continued success", Trump tweeted.
Omarosa's role began to feel ill-defined, when chief of staff John Kelly took over in July.
According to the reports, Omarosa yelled profanities after learning that Kelly had fired her from the administration and was subsequently removed from the building.
Meanwhile, the White House had earlier confirmed that Trump's deputy national security advisor Dina Powell, a driving force behind the Trump administration's Middle East policy, would quit the administration early next year.
