One million entrepreneurs needed for significant economic growth

Discussions took place amongst entrepreneurs world over under the banner of Entrepreneur Cafe this month on strategies of reduced attrition and the importance of retaining good resource.

Entrepreneur Cafe powered by 10,000 Start-ups, NASSCOM conducted these meetings in over 96 cities where serial entrepreneurs met, over a cup of coffee, to address the challenges and importance of Human Resources in Start up ecosystem.

Entrepreneur Cafe was buzzing with activities globally. While Facebook had a campaign running for Entreprenuer Cafe on Independence day rest decided to create buzz on 2nd and 4th Thursday with #DreamTeam as their mantra surrounded by month long activities which got VCs, Angel Investors and senior veterans from the field of HR to address the audience of eager founders and co founders to answer their queries related to Human Resource.

"Running a small business, especially a startup, is an uphill battle when it comes to retaining good people", said Roshni, Founder Lil Charms," addressing the challenge being faced with young minds hopping jobs for greener pastures for little raises.

Creating the right 'mix' of employees within your organization from Day 1 is key. Staff needs to reflect the diversity of your customer base, rather than simply mirroring the personality type of the business founders.

To build a successful business, beginning by understanding the personalities and personas of the customers is imperative. Marketing, customer support, sales and product management plans should be designed with total focus on your diverse customer base. Companies that lack diversity - both in the traditional sense, and in a diversity of personalities - will find it very difficult to accomplish this task.
