After Union Minister of State for Power Goyal welcomed the BJP's win in Wednesday's MCD polls and described the opposition crib against EVMs as a case of sour grapes.

Goyal said, "I congratulate Manoj Tiwari, Amit Shah and PM Modi for huge success of the party. Leadership of BJP and PM Modi has been able to give this country a good government. Since the PM was engaged in the development of the nation continuously for last three years people of Delhi have taken right decision after comparing the work of the other parties,"

He rubbished baseless allegations being made against the BJP with regard to tampering of EVM machines, by saying that these are the machines that had been used by the AAP.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has blamed the doctoring of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) for its defeat.

Following the BJP's victory in the MCD polls, Congress leaders Ajay Maken, Gurudas Kamat and P.C. Chacko announced their resignations.

The BJP's Delhi Unit chief Manoj Tiwari said, "It is the people win and party president Amit Shah's contribution is countless."

Former Delhi Commission for Women chief Barkha Shukla credited Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shahfor bringing about a change in society.

"I think it is because of his policies and the work done by Manoj Tiwari that has given this result," Shukla told ANI.
