Pak army chief's US visit expected to be more substantive than PM Sharif's

Pakistan Army chief General Raheel Sharif is expected to train his focus on the situation in Afghanistan when he meets senior Pentagon officials during his visit to the United States from November 15 to 20.

According to officials making preparations for the visit, Sharif will meet senior Pentagon and State Department officials.

The Dawn reports that this will be General Sharif's second visit to Washington this year.

It is believed that more substantive discussions will take place during his visit as compared to last month's visit by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
