Pakistan's Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that the country has some influence on the Taliban but it does not have any control over the group.

According to the Dawn, Aziz said that it was Afghan Government's decision to resume talks with Taliban since their part was only to facilitate the talks.

He also said that Pakistan as well as the US completely support the Afghan reconciliation process.

He maintained that Pakistan's stance was very clear that its soil would not be used against any country.
