Pak keen on improving bilateral relations with India

Pakistan Government wants to engage with India at the leadership level to work on bilateral relations, the Foreign Ministry has said.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the government has given clear signals that it wants good neighborly relations with India.

He pointed out that the meeting between Minister for External Affairs of India and Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan in Brunei on the sidelines of the ARF was cordial and positive.

According to the Express Tribune, the spokesperson said that with respect to initiating the dialogue process with its neighbouring country, Pakistan would welcome the resumption of the dialogue process.

He said that Pakistani officials are expected to meet with Indian officials at the UN General Assembly scheduled for September, adding Pakistan will be willing to engage with India to improve bilateral relations, the report added.
