The name of former Pakistan president General (r) Pervez Musharraf will remain on the Exit Control List (ECL) until the highest court asked for removal, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has confirmed.
Speaking at a news conference, he said that cases related to the Employees Old-age Benefits Institution, Trade Development Authority, New Islamabad International Airport, Pakistan State Oil and treason of Musharraf would be taken to the logical conclusion in six weeks.
According to the Daily Times, Nisar directed the FIA to expedite investigation in five high-profile cases and form a cell to address the complaints about corruption in government departments.
He said that cases would be investigated without fear, favour or political considerations.
