Pak troops violate ceasefire in Krishna Ghati Sector

Pakistani troops fired at Indian Army posts in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch District this morning.

Defence Public Relations Officer Lt.Col. Manish Mehta told media that Pakistani troops started unprovoked firing around 6 a.m., which lasted for a few minutes.

There was no report of any loss of life from the Indian side.

A massive search operation has been launched in the area.

Army Chief General Bikram Singh, who was addressing his annual media interaction ahead of Army Day on January 15 in New Delhi,said that the matter would be dealt at the DGMO level.
