Former Prime Minister Tony Blair's daughter was reportedly saved from two armed muggers by her pals.

Barrister Kathryn Blair and her boyfriend had a gun pointed at them by a balaclava-clad attacker as they walked near her home, the Daily Star reported.

Police said that the gunman and an accomplice, whose face was hidden by a scarf, demanded cash and jewellery.

They fled when a group of friends the couple had been walking with caught them up and frightened them off.

Police believe that the gunman tried to rob another woman half an hour earlier and are appealing for the public's help to track down the man and his accomplice.
