Health Minister Dr. Harshvardhan visited Safdarjung Hospital today.
He said that most of the people who visited the hospital were poor or low-middle class and should get health services free of cost.
Harshvardhan said, "The essential medicines that can treat illnesses upto 95 per cent should be free of cost to all patients."
He said that the blood tests should also be done free of cost in hospital, and the CT scan and MRI should also be conducted for free."
Harshvardhan said that he will look into the files concerning this issue and will give the orders in the next 1-2 days.
