Peter Sarsgaard, Winona Ryder to star in 'Experimenter'

Peter Sarsgaard and Winona Ryder are starring in 'Experimenter, The Stanley Milgram Story', it has been revealed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the indie drama, which is written and directed by Michael Almereyda, will tell the story of famed social psychologist Stanley Milgram, who designed the controversial 'Obedience Experiments' at Yale University in 1961.

Sarsgaard, 43, will be portraying Milgram, while the 42-year-old actress will play his student and love interest, Sasha Menkin, who helps with the experiments.

The film, which also stars Josh Hamilton, Jim Gaffigan and Dennis Haysbert, will start filming in June.
