Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condoled the passing away of freedom fighter Ghelubhai Naik.
"I condole the passing away of freedom fighter from Dang, Shri Ghelubhai Naik. His was a life devoted to selfless service towards society. Ghelubhai worked extensively among the poorest of the poor. His efforts will be remembered by generations. May his soul rest in peace," he said.
Veteran freedom fighter Ghelubhai Naik breathed his last at his residence in Ahwa on Friday morning.
Naik was close to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and started his activity in Dang district as a Sarvodaya worker in 1948.
