Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a high-level meeting on the roadmap to reduce dependency on import of oil and gas.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Environment Minister, Vice Chairman and CEO NITI Aayog, Cabinet Secretary, and senior officials from the Prime Minister's Office, Petroleum Ministry, External Affairs Ministry (MEA), Home Ministry, Finance Ministry and Defence Ministry were present.
The Petroleum Ministry presented strategies for achieving this objective, such as increasing production of crude oil and gas, promoting biofuels and re-newables, energy efficiency and conservation etc.
