Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday landed in South Africa to take part in the 10th BRICS Summit in Johannesburg tomorrow.
The Prime Minister landed at the Air Force base of Waterkloof today.
As part of his five-day official tour, Prime Minister Modi first visited Rwanda on Monday. He did a one-on-one meeting and delegation level talks with President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame. He also interacted with the Indian community there.
India and Rwanda signed eight agreements in an effort to bolster bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Later on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi held delegation-level talks with President of Uganda, Yoweri Museveni. He said India will continue to play a stable partner in the country's journey towards development.
Earlier today he also addressed the Parliament of Uganda.
As part of his visit to South Africa, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
A number of agreements and MoUs in the areas of defence, trade, culture, agriculture and dairy cooperation are scheduled to be signed during the Prime Minister's visit.
