Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday arrived in Shanghai, after completing the Beijing leg of his China tour. He was greeted by children at the Shanghai airport, who were waving India-China flags.

The Prime Minister smiled and waved warmly at the kids.

In Beijing, the Prime Minister had restricted and delegation-level talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang; attended a banquet lunch hosted by the latter; attended a Yoga- Tai Chi joint event at

the Temple of Heaven; addressed faculty and students of Tsinghua University and clicked 'selfies' with Premier Li.

The bilateral talks were focused on achieving a speedy and mutually acceptable resolution to the Line of Actual Control issue, the border and boundary questions, trade deficit, greater defence and commercial engagement and clarification on the stapled visa issue etc.

At the Tsinghua University, he asserted that Asia's voice will be stronger if India and China speak in one voice for each other and stressed on the need to settle the border and boundary issues

peacefully and quickly.

India and China also resolved to set up a special task force, which will be tasked with addressing the trade deficit between the two nations.

The two neighbours have also agreed to work more closely on counter-terrorism, with Prime Minister Modi and the Chinese Premier stating that terrorism was a threat to both nations.
