Expressing pain over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address today, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said it reflected the mindset of a petrified Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
"I am really pained to hear what the Prime Minister has said. We always maintain that the Prime Minister has certain dignity, the office has certain dignity and every Prime Minister should adhere to that to protect the dignity of that office but unfortunately this is not happening right now," AAP leader Ashutosh told ANI here.
"Let me also reiterate the fact that when BJP was winning... they never used such kind of language but now when they are losing badly, they are using these kinds of languages. That shows the mindset of the BJP in which it does politics. And secondly, the people of Delhi are watching and they will give a befitting reply to them," he added.
Addressing an election rally in Ambedkar Nagar earlier in the day, Prime Minister said the BJP would form the government in Delhi under the leadership of Kiran Bedi and vowed to clear up the mess of the last 16 years in the national capital.
"As soon as the results are declared on February 10, under the leadership of Kiran Bedi, we will begin the development of Delhi. We are not going to stop for a single moment because, we have to clear up the mess of the last 16 years in these five years," Prime Minister Modi said.
With less than 36 hours to go for the campaigning to end, the leaders of various political parties have been holding road shows, rallies and personally meeting the electorate and convincing them.
The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held in a single phase on February 7. The counting of votes will take place on February 10.
