With the second day of the Governors Conference underway at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the concluding session today.
Twenty-three Governors and two Lieutenant Governors are participating in the two-day conference.
On the first day of the conference yesterday, President Pranab Mukherjee said that Governors can play a persuasive role in improving quality of education in the country.
"Our nation has grown from strength to strength since independence. It is primarily due to the steadfast adherence to principles enshrined in the Constitution. Constitution is an enduring document that reflects aspirations and the avenues to achieve them, in an inclusive manner," President Mukherjee said in his speech after opening the 47th Conference of Governors.
