PM Modi witnesses transfer of land for Ambedkar memorial in Mumbai

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday witnessed the signing of agreements between the Union Ministry of Textiles, the Government of Maharashtra and the National Textile Corporation for the transfer of land to enable the construction of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar memorial in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of State for Textiles Santosh Gangwar were also present during the signing of the agreements.

The memorial is slated to be constructed in the 12 acres of land adjacent to the Chaityabhoomi in the Indu Mills Compound in Mumbai, where the last rites of Ambedkar were performed.
