A rare prehistoric woolly mammoth skeleton will be up for sale at an auction in Britain for 200,000 pounds.

The specimen, which is expected to attract interest from museums and private collectors around the world, is almost fully intact and is three-and-half metres high and five-and-a-half metres long, Sky News reported.

Rupert van Der Werff, director of Summers Place Auctions, who are selling the Mammoth, said that the buyer could be a private individual or a museum and this fabulous skeleton is in pretty good condition, and that nearly complete skeletons are pretty rare.

The skeleton, which is thought to be an old male who would have weighed over six tonnes when it was alive, will be put for sale on 26th November.
